ABOUT THE SERIES

"Lighting the Future: Refugee Conversations" is a new digital fundraiser by Elena's Light that features different speakers from different backgrounds but who all speak on a common theme: the refugee experience. Inspired by our own founder and executive director's discussions on her journey as a refugee, the series aims to shed light on refugee experiences and narratives across an array of mediums, from art to academia and more.

For our very first event in the series, join us in a Zoom conversation on Thursday, October 1st, at 7pm, with acclaimed Cuban-American artist Edel Rodriguez, who will discuss and show images from his career and life.

All proceeds from the series will support the health and ESL programs of Elena's Light.
